First Team Squad Vs Osbaldwick 12th January 2008
Amotherby & Swinton Football Club have two teams playing in the York Leeper Hare League. The First team have F.A Level 2 Coaches John MacLoed and Matty Hood at the helm with the team currently playing in Division One. The Reserve Team is managed by Neil Audsley and after suffering relegation last season they now find themselves in Reserve C.
Both Teams will be looking for Promotion this season especially the first team who have made many big signings to bolster the young squad and with the average age of the squad at just 21.8 years, the team has many playing years together ahead of them. The Reserves have a mixture with players in there final years right down to a handful of young promising 16 year olds.
The Website was created in February 2004 by then player Matty Hood, and following his return to the club in July 2005 as first team manager the website has developed. This season sees the club turn to player sponsorship in order to bring in extra funds to the first team. 24 players now have player sponsorship this season, All sponsored players this season recieve a free training kit with there sponsors logo on the kit designed by Nike. The first team over the past year has also secured two new kits for home and away games, plus a polo shirt sponsor and more recently a rain jacket and coaches jacket sponsors.
At the start of the 2007/08 season, Amotherby created a 3rd team which play their games in the Beckett League Division 2 and is managed by Phil Thisleton.
