A&S MISS OUT ON PROMOTION

Amotherby finished off the season with a defeat to gift Poppleton the 2nd promotion place. Amotherby will now face there 4th season in Division One, with them now being firm favoruites to clinch promotion next season after finishing 3rd. Matty Hood takes over his old role as Head Coach with Jon MacLeod moving aside to a assistant role due to extra work commitments, however both are keen to bring in a few new faces for another crack at Division One. Division one could have a very local affair next year with MBF facing relegation giving a cracking local derby next year. Any one seriously interested in playing for Amotherby next year needs to speak to Matty or Jon.

TIDDLER RETURNING TO A&S??

Matty Hood is currently thrashing out a deal to bring Kerian Wall back as 3rd Team Manager next season. Tiddler is very keen on the role, after current manager Phil Thisleton has decided to leave his roles as manager and secretary at the club. Tiddlers local connections should mean a lot of new faces to the 3rds which is in need of few quality players to push on from what has been a decent start by the newly built 3rd team.

COMEDIAN BOOKED FOR PRESENATION AWARDS

Amotherby's annual awards take place at Queens Head Cantonese in Amotherby on Friday 9th May starting at 8pm, its £20 per head for the two course menu which includes free wine, Comedian Mark Ward will do two stand up sets either side of the awards.

The game has finally been arranged on a friday night with keep off scheduled for around 6.45pm. Anyone whos interested in playing needs to contact Hoody or Tiddler

WHO WILL WIN THIS YEARS PRIZES

This year anyone of the squad members could be up for an award at the annual presentation awards and with one more massive game can someone steal the show to take one of the honours Macca and Hoody must decide a player of the year and runner up player of the year award, Mikey Brown is favourite to win MOM players player of year as he leads with the MOM Votes but a excellent performance by Thackray or Slaughter could see them steal the award, The players will also vote on their overall player of the season  and as for the managers award that could be anyone, But the big award has to be the Boobie Prize Award which after the last two years going to Wayne Calvert and usual co favourite Tiddler both unable to compete for the award this is an award which once again could go to anyone. Mikey Brown also looks set to have the Golden Boot award as Tom Moorcroft must score 5 in the last game to take the award of reserve team hot shot Tom Audsley needs to score 10 in his last 4 games to clinch the award, But with Brown in great form and looking to push Amotherby into the Premiership he could yet add more to his 16 goals this season.
